I decided to use a very simple scoring system that would not complicate matters but would
give recognition to where albums are placed in each persons top ten.
It works like this: We let YOU choose up to 10 albums and vote for them in order - most favourite to least favourite. We award points based on the position of your choice. Your first choice album gets ten points, your second gets nine points and so on all the way down to your tenth choice which gets one point. The albums are ranked on the points, the more points an album has, the higher up the chart it gets. The points system ensures that albums that are constantly voted for in a higher place get recognition for this, for instance if 10 people vote Dark Side Of The Moon as their FIRST PLACE album, it would recieve 100 points. If 20 people vote for Dark Side Of The Moon but place it between 6th and 10th in their personal chart it could only receive a maximum of 80 points which ranks is lower down the chart despite actually gaining more votes.
